As many of you know, Katy M. and I have taken a break from writing on Book Ponderings. I have been missing it so I've decided to start posting a few of the posts we did here! I haven't had many reviews due lately so I haven't been able to post much on here, but I am excited to get back in the groove and post more often on here! :)
So today I am happy to join in on a fun weekly post that Katy over a A Few More Pages hosts! Feel free to koin in -- just head over to her blog and read the instructions! :)
Yesterday I recieved a book in the mail that I was so excited to get! Hearing much praise about this book and unable to find even one negative review, I eagerly dove in right then and am already hooked on the story! I'm positive I'll have this book done in the near future and a fun blog tour will follow in the next few weeks! :)
Blood dripped into his left eye.
No. Not blood. Sweat. Hands tight againt his hips and fists balled, Captain Canyon Metcalfe blinked away the sting. Another salty drop slid down his temple. Eyes ahead, he focused on his reflection in the massive mirror. Between it and him sat an eight-foot table harboring a panel of three Army investigators from Criminal Investigation Command sent for his one-year evaluation. More like interrogation. And he knew they weren't legit. Nobody got a review once they were out. This wasn's about legitimency. This was about them insuring he kept his mouth shut.

Wow what a beginning! Interrogation hidden behind investigation?! What is going on and what did this guy do to have these men do this? I don't know about you, but I was immediately intrigued and couldn't help but read on, even though I'm in the middle of another book. LOL
So far, this book is awesome and has great potential. I can't wait to keep reading and finish it!
Have you read Wolfsbane? What did you think of it? Was your attention immediately captured as mine was? If you haven't read this book, please share what you are reading now! How are you liking it? :)

I fixed my button so it doesn't have that "/> thing anymore.
I've never read it, but I love the beginning! Even though I'm typically not all that into this genre, the first four sentences were enough to hook me. It's a great reminder of how important the first sentences are...
I read it and it's my favorite one in the series not to mention my favorite book so far this year! It only gets better the further into it you get!!! I did a review on my book blog, http://duhpaynes.com/?p=249
Nonners - Okay I'll go fix it! ;)
Jenna - Yes it is crazy how important the first few sentences are to a book. Puts a lot of pressure on a writer, too!
Anne - Yes it was very good! I loved all the action. I'll go check out your review! :)
