Batter Blaster

Today I am reviewing Batter Blaster, which is this really nifty way to make pancakes and waffles!

The Review:
My Ranking: 7 out of 10
Ages: 11 & up(for cooking with adult supervision)

So I was at my orthodontist appointment laying on the chair, and I heard the assistants and my ortho talking about some really yummy and easy pancakes they made, something called "Batter Blaster". I had never heard of it and was instantly curious. I looked it up when I got home and found their website.  When my parents had to run to the store that night, I asked them to keep an eye out for it because it sounded interesting. What do you know, Publix carried it! While there are four varieties of Batter Blaster - Chocolate, Whole Wheat, Buttermilk, and Original - Publix only carries the Original one. So they picked up two cans of it. We were already planning to have breakfast for dinner that night, so I decided to try it out!

So, I got out my griddle, turned on the stove, and got ready to try something new! I lightly greased the griddle and let it get hot before pulling out the Batter Blast. I shook it good 'n hard and squirted some onto the hot surface.

Not my picture.
They went flat - really flat - and stuck to the pan when I tried to turn them. Round 1, fail.
Next we tried shaking it really hard and flipping them earlier. Shaking them more did help them to not go flat, but they still stuck, even though the surface was greased. After a few tries, we were able to figure out how to flip them where they didn't stick as much and turned over fine, but never were we able to make it so they didn't stick at all. They turned out slightly smushed. So for ease of use, Batter Blast gets only 6 out of 10 stars. It was awesome how they just sprayed out of the can (and it was actually fun to use!) but they were a bit of a pain to cook and turned out looking messy. Perhaps next time I shall try using more oil, kind of like the picture above. Perhaps then I could spell stuff like you're supposed to be able to! lol

Onto the actual eating of them. ;) They were REALLY delicious!!!!!!! All 9 members of my family LOVED it! For taste, they get 9 out of 10 stars. If I can get the hang of cooking them right, then I would definitely love to get this stuff once a month or so!
For around $4 a can, it's too much to pay for a breakfast when feeding 7 kids - 6 of them growing boys. It took a can and a half to feed the whole family, and we also had eggs and bacon. All was gone. So for price, this product receives 6 out of 10 stars.

So all around, this was a really cool product! It was kinda hard to cook with, but it was easy and tasty so if I could just get the preparing done right, I'd consider this an exceptional product!

Ease of Use - 6 out of 10 stars
Taste Satisfaction - 9 out of 10 stars
Price - 6 out of 10 stars
Overall - 7 out 10 stars

Wow! This looks really good. Batter Blaster would be very fun to try sometime. I wonder if one could do the same thing with an icing squeeze bottle or funnel.
